Using our experience (35 years) to source items for customers

David Urquhart’s first step into architectural salvage was through exasperation – having initially moved to West Gloucestershire to buy and renovate properties, he found that there was nowhere to buy materials for such projects. This gap in the market provided the inspiration that formed the basis of Posterity.

With colleague Nicholas Trigg, they have built up a considerable reputation for architectural antiques and reclamation, but have now diversified to suit the modern market.

Always in stock is a selection of items for landscaping, decoration, shop, pub, cafe and restaurant work, film and television props, and furniture and ornament, both ancient and modern. Industrial, rustic, vintage, and retro pieces for business, home and garden, and interior designers.

In addition, David and Nick can use 35 years in the business to source decorative and architectural effects including paneling, doors, fireplaces, flooring, rugs, mirrors, lighting for commercial and private use.

In addition, the newly opened Wharf Gallery offers a selection of 20th/21st century works of art, paintings, prints, and sculpture.

The last members of the team are Macintosh and Jock (spaniels).
